Yup, me too. That is, I looked it up using Google Images. There are lots of different configurations of it. Which one do you have? Does it have a gasoline or diesel engine? Do you have any photos?

Cheers,

Standard soft top, so a " British Roadster" of sorts.
It is FFW (Fitted For Wireless - Mil. radio) and originally intended to carry a ton of ammunition while towing a trailer with four Rapier missiles.
No pics until I get it picked up in a couple of weeks.
Engine is a low compression version of the BOP/Rover 215 V8.
Not great on gas but I can carry several drums of spare fuel if needed.
I'm in rural Nevada, SURROUNDED by places to play with it.
My next daily driver for local use.

So not wanting to rubbish up some build threads, I decided to post a story here.
Yes I live in the Northern hemisphere.
Yes I run around in shorts and tee shirt when it's 50F outside.
Yes I too laugh about us living in igloos year round, (try living in an igloo when it's 80F outside). Fake news.
Yes I too laugh that it's so cold here you have to back up when you're peeing.
Yes I have a heater in my truck and I don't give a (br@cket), I'm off to the rodeo

Here's what my 92 year young Dad who has lived all his life in Alberta tells me. Now you need to know about 'long johns', they are one piece underwear from top to bottom that people wore during the gold rush, depression, war(s), wedding night's, camping, going up town, going down town, stepping up, hanging low,...you get the drift here.
So these 'long johns' have a button up fly in the front and a trap door in the rear, for taking care of all your business needs and are worn during cold weather in the winter.
After all this you put your everyday clothes on over top of the 'long johns'.

So Dad says, (and he's cold even in warm weather), "I take my long john's off for the summer July 31st, and put them back on August 1st for the winter.

Perry, that sounds about like my grandpa. 40C+ in the shade and he'd be working in the sun with a flannel shirt and either jeans or wool pants. I saw him with take his shirt off getting ready for bed when we were camping once, and he was whiter than rice from the wrists up. I've never even seen a picture of him with a short sleeve shirt, never mind short pants. They don't make them like that anymore. Sadly he passed away a few years ago, he was 96.

HA! I never heard that one before!

A buddy of mine worked on drill rigs on the North Slope in Alaska. He told a story about a guy that stood too close to the metal siding on a shed while peeing. Are you old enough to remember when ice trays in the freezer compartment were metal? Every had your fingertips stick to one? Apparently the guy came back into the crew quarters with tears in his eyes... :ack:

Your Dad sounds like a great guy. I bet he's got some stories worth listening to. Same for Kristian's grandpa. Too bad he's already gone. They really don't make 'em like that any more.

JD, I'll be at (in? near? whatever!) the North Slope in about 2 weeks. Being mid Aug, I guess that'll be Winter. I'll be sure to stay away from those metal sheds!

In the mean time, I just put my entry of Ribs into the oven. My son has is annual Rib-Fest contest today. Should be another fun, high calorie day. Ribs of every style and lots of beer, What's not to like?

I spent some time working in the northeast corner of BC in January, during a cold snap, probably almost 15 years ago now. For a few days it was -68 C, that's -90 and change for you southerners. That wasn't including any sort of made up windchill bs either. It was so cold the thermometer in the dining area window was showing 35 C above, starting it's second wrap going. You know how lots of people say that if it gets below some random temperature that if you pee outside it will freeze before it hits the ground? Well I had to try it. It didn't freeze before hitting the ground, but it was a race against time to finish before it got to short to hang onto! Made a neat little volcano looking pile of ice where it splashed back up a bit though. There's something wrong when it warms up to -45 and that feels warm in just jeans and a sweater.

Yesterday I quit my job to have more time for my several projects. :D
Today I got my one-ton truck running.
Now have three months to get a LOT done.

This morning I was up at 5:30am, had coffee, scratched, sat in the library for a while (or canned some tomatoes, whichever you want to call it), walked 1 hr on treadmill, received my morning call at 9am from my 92 year young Dad saying all is well, then went to work 88F (30C) during the day here, dam you Chuck and JD, you've cursed me with hot weather..
Today I installed 3 window awnings on the motorhome (4hrs), installed a Roadmaster Trac Bar on the front suspension (2hrs) (supposed to improve road handling in cross winds cause we know there's light crosswinds in California), adjusted the toe in on the MH from 3/16" to 1/16" (1/2hr), ran the 5/16" fuel line on the Topolino (3/4hr), sat down with Capt'n Morgan for a bit (hrs), now I'm pecking at the computer. and I am bagged, too bagged to take any pictures.......OK maybe a couple of pics on my build log.

Sold the Datsun over the weekend. Kind of sad to see it go but the reality is, it had no sentimental attachment and I wasn't driving it.

Took delivery of my new to me 1970 Clark CY60 6K forklift.
It's ugly and dirty with trashed tires, but runs and lifts!
Since it seems impossible to find any help I've been buying tools to allow me to do everything by myself.
