I know that they're just scripted commercials and they provide some interesting entertainment. I chill with a couple while I'm sipping my coffee on Saturday morning before I head to the garage.
Watching Car Fix this past Saturday, they we re working on an old coupe that was getting a new frame, engine, top chop etc.
The new frame shows up and in about 10 minutes they managed to tick me off with multiple tidbits of incorrect information.
It started with the bald one explaining front steer vs rear steer. This chassis is front steer because the rack is mounted in front of the cross member...
Quickly followed on with how these offset bushings in the upper control arm are great for adjusting anti dive
I don't remember the other 2. I got up, turned off the TV and headed to Lowe's to buy a power cord for the plasma cutter. But here's my issue, shouldn't these people at least TRY to get it right?
It's sort of like people who tell fish tales. Saw a post on fb last week with a guy bragging about his 250 lb tiger shark. The shark wasn't as big around as his girlfriend/ wife / significant other and not much longer than she was tall, so unless he was Andre the Giant and she was an Amazon, the shark wouldn't break 150.
ok, off rant
