I just want to rant/complain about the standards of pride some take or really don't take in their work.
I bought a pair of upper ball joint adapters for my fox body spindle from a well know kit car supplier. After paying the $90 and shipping a piece for them (~$200) I get them in and they are sharp, weld splattered all over, and just show a lot of apprentice marks.
Now these are not (as far as i know) made over seas for the as cheap as possible for as much mark up as possible. But the lack of attention just in simple weld splatter removal is horrible. Perhaps I'm just being to picky and i could have made these myself if not for laziness but for $200. The least that could have been done was a little tapping with a dull chisel.
When I was taught to weld it was drilled in my head to at least clean up my apprentice marks a little as it reflects on me regardless if no one ever sees it. Pride and such.
Otherwise they are stout and robust and i would recommend them but meh. Could have been made with a little more attention and less rush rush.
