Hi Warren, I also wondered about growing haskap berries in Nevada until I looked at the Hardiness Zone map....northern Nevada appears to be Zones 4, 5 or 6 so the berries could work there. I'm planting my bushes in a zone 2 bordering on zone 3 area and keeping my fingers crossed. Bill

Since I am not zoned for agriculture I will need to look into "Dry-Farming" or a system that reuses limited water.
Can do a greenhouse type setup but that can get expensive.
Seems that to do berries here would need solar powered swamp cooler and greenhouse, $$$$!

Simplest answer may be meat goats.
Fairly large alfalfa farm just down the street so sourcing feed should be easy.
Farming is restricted but it seems livestock is not, or not so much.
Need to see which goats do not stink.

Bought my first copy of the new local newspaper today.
Second article from the top, "County hires first code enforcement officer in ten years!" :BH:

Nah, it's just the Kalifornia cancer spreading and that's a national problem.
Kali attitude, move to a rural town for cheap land, then demand that the rural town must turn into the same sort of "City" they just left.
Main industry is farming and dairy.
A few Kali's are already trying to shut down the dairy for the "Smell" and "Animal exploitation".
(While driving a luxury car that has leather seats!)

That's why I went farther when I escaped Kommiefornia. I'm in the middle of Deplorable Fly-Over country. "Code enforcement 0fficer"? What Code?

IIRC, Team Slotus may have some expertise on the subject critters.

There are always sheep. Have you priced lamb lately? There are sheep breeds intended just for meat. The wife and I raised Dorper-Katahdin sheep for a while. Never had any trouble selling lambs when it came time to butcher.
