All depends for how long you want it to last and how big your budget is.

I believe the correct answer is "Ludicrous Speed".

Turbo bike power will be enough to entertain you,the gearing advantages alone make a huge difference in comparison to a car based engine/transmission.

I read somewhere on the web that even my GSXR-1000 engine in the bike has a max load rating of 1,000 lbs so a Busa shouldn't have any problems if you keep the weight down.

You would be aiming at 300hp in a drive'able package with low'ish year round maintenance. With a target weight of 450kgs, 300hp would still make it one of the fastest vehicles on the road.

I'm sure you will read wild claims of 500hp etc. which is totally realistic but difficult to drive and prone to costly 'incidents' as well as you would have to invest money in suitable bottom end mods.

After much reading and investigating might I suggest Supercharging it.
Advantage no turbo lag, no need for a fancy engine management system etc.
Procharger make an awesome supercharger that runs off a belt drive from the end of the crank.
There is a kit from a fellow on the east coast that has the whole set up.
All you need is bigger injectors and preferably a Power Commander for mapping. Flashing an ECU can be done but it does not allow for fine tuning of the fuel mapping.

Hope this helps
Cheers

Turbo will always be faster than a supercharger at the same psi level, get the turbo sized correctly and the lag will be very minimal with a high comp engine.Supercharger uses engine power to spin it and its a fixed boost ratio to rpm versus making full boost for far more or the rev range without using engine power to spin the impeller(well for sure some power most be lost due to exhaust restriction but...)
No belt to fly off and run over either. :)

early diasio race cars are powered by 1000cc motors and they are two seater cars .
when i 1st bought my diasio i would give people ride alongs at the track the car can handle the other person easy .
one of the extra motors i have for my diasio is a GSXR 1000 turbo . i built it about a year ago but have never ran it . they clam the stage 2 turbo kit i bought will put out 350 HP to 400HP and be very reliable . i can not say any more than what the CO that builds the turbo kit clams . i changed my mind as to installing it into my Diasio as it will bump me way out of the class i race the car in . i have been looking for a roller dwarf car to install it into my plan is to build a hill climb car out of a dwarf car .
but i would say a busa turbo putting out 400 HP would be ez and reliable and a car in the dry weight of 900 LBS would pull around two people all day long and be fast and fun as hell .
