Hey gang,
I've got a chance to pick up a carb'd low mileage (under 8000) ZR7 motor for stupid cheap. Comes with wiring, ECU, exhaust, carbs, dash, everything for dirt cheap.

Question is would this be a good, reliable fun motor for either a reverse trike or a single seat B Mod build? Give me your thoughts on the motor please.

Leave yourself room to perform valve lash adjustment with shims every other oil change. Fwiw, a honda 750 nighthawk has hydraulic lash adjusters.

Should be great for your intentions especially if the price is right but no first-hand experience with that model.

$350 for a full run kit. It's hard to say no; carb and air cooled. About as simple an install as I can imagine.

If you are going to race it you may want a newer EFI motor that makes more power.

You have saved enough money on the front end you can afford to send your head out to Larry Cook and get it blessed.

My buddy has a Concourse that has a significantly increased power output using a LC head and larger ITB's. He is VERY happy.
