Anyone have any feedback on this welder? Opinions? A buddy has it and uses it for some fab work on his drag car (roll cage etc.). I would be using it for a locost as well as some work on my drag car.

Seems like a good price, but I don't know much about duty cycles.

May be what Sears rebrands as this http://tinyurl.com/yah2f3

i've heard good things about them who's friend of a friend had one, nothing first hand so take it with a grain of salt. personally what i did was keep an eye on craigslist for a lightly used Lincoln. I got a SP135, an extra helmet, two big spools of wire and a 60cu bottle for IIRC around $250. ebay is pretty good too but shipping on heavy welders usually isn't cheap.

I've heard only good things about this welder. I've got an old 130EN Turbo that I used to build my entire chassis and suspension (plenty of penetration - no problem burning thru 3/16" plate steel if I'm not careful!), and it works great. The 180 has more power, more availability of parts, etc. etc. - a good value for money, I think :D :D
