I found these Car Rotisserie Plans online. Thought some builders may have an interest. 8)

I built a light duty rotisserie for my Sprite and MGA projects several years ago from 2x4 lumber and lag bolts.

The parts that attached to the frame members had a 1 1/2 inch pipe coupling and pipe. Pretty simple, light weight and effective.

Brilliant tool. I made something similar but swapped 11 & 13 for axle ends complete with brake drum and bolted 2 straight to the drum. I then connected up a handbrake lever and cable so I could stop the jig at any position I wanted, super smooth turning on the bearings . Any old axle will do.

I've been thinking of redoing my flaky rotisserie and wonder if anybody wo has begged, borrowed or stolen one they thought was good would like to post some fotos? I hate making the same mistake twice.

Do you want fancy with all the accessories? Or just something simple? I built a simple one from 2 HF engine stands and some adapter brackets to fit to the car. (MGB-GT). It is kind of sloppy for lock positions. However, it works as required and that is all that I needed. The biggest issue was getting the car up on the lift it was done while building the rotisserie. Getting it off will be an adventure for certain. I haven't tackled that last part yet. Note that the center legs are dropped down a few inches to put the verticals plumb and the rotation axis level. As much as I like it, for a Locost, I really don't think it is needed.

You guys are making me feel like Daddy Warbucks with my professionally made unit!
Saved a bit on it after it's one use by a guy doing a 55 Chevy.
The hydraulic jack systems are nice as they let you raise the car from stands and back down when finished.

I was hoping for more pictures.

As for requirements I would like something simple that doesn't take a lot of space when I'm done. Getting a frame off and on shouldn't be too difficult, I have a chain hoist. I wonder how necessary the long tube holding the ends is. It seems to me two concentric tube pivots, one on a tripod stand and one bolted to my weld table might do the trick. Not very mobile but simple.
