A bender popped up for sale on Craigslist locally

Pro Tools 105 HD. 5/8 main beams and 1" swivel pins
1 1/4" tube die

$300

Should I rush out and grab it or no?

If you are in the market for one, then yes. The dies are the expensive part, probably around $ 300 each. 1 1/4 is not a bad size; with a homemade sleeve, (1 1/4 x 0.125 wall Aluminum) you can also bend 1". For a roll cage, I would still go with 1 1/2 tubing.

It's a reasonable price and I wouldn't worry about 1.25" tubing for a street or autocross car. The minimum spec for SCCA is 1 3/8" tubing for wheel to wheel road racing, but it's not a Lotus so I don't think there is a class for you anyway. You could do a nice round tube build with that.

I called about it; I'm #2 in line :(

I could do a nice tube chassis rebuild for the A Mod with it and re-use my existing control arms for front and rear with a little improved geometry.

C'est la vie; If I can snag it great, if not, I'll keep my eyes open.

I already have the 1 1/2 Affordable bender style with a 90 degree die.
