BB69- Ill probably be turning to you when i need to bend up some stuff. I have the HF bender but i dont trust it one bit.
Motive - If we design the part, what type of program file do you need? Will a catia/solidworks file be enough?

Solidworks files work but I do all my G-code programing off of DFX files. Solidwork DWG editor will convert a solidworks file to a DWG then I can save it as a DFX in Autocad. Someday I will be able to afford a full CAM program (SolidCAM!!!) and will be able to fully profiled parts. Untill then, I'm still faster with Autocad.

Horizenjob- The 7 badges do look good in brass. Copper turns "Statue of Liberty-Green" Thats probly not what you had in mind, was it? I'd post a picture of one but it just looks like my avatar with poor lighting.

About the only thing I have that must builders would not own is:

Speed-pro coil spring tester "suspension springs" to heavy to ship around but, I could verify coil springs if you mailed them to me.

My $12 corner wt scale and home brew bump steer fixture.

Dave,
What kind of capacity does your corner weight scale have?

By the way, I need to meet up with you again to show you the car.

My offical Hi-tech corner wt scale [Two bath room scales and a tire span fixture] will take about 550lbs per corner. I was actual repeatable to within 2lbs.

You are welcome to use it. Dave W

ill talk to my uncle. Hes big into SCCA with his camaro and has all the fun tools. He has a set of 4 scales with the little ramps and all. When i have a final chassis that i can roll around i plan to throw it on them to get an idea of numbers. I can let you guys know when i do if you wanna throw yours on too. Im thinking april-may time frame.

Would anyone be able to do some solidworks drawings and measurements for me when Im at the point where I'd need them? Im thinking of doing something like the factory five '33 Hot Rod. Of course I would compensate money for time.

Unfortunately I don't really have anything to contribute as far as tools or skills. Im into photography and if anyone is in the area or a reasonable drive I'll do some photoshoots.

My humble hand tools and garage space are available for emergency uses. Although I dont have any neat specialty tools as of yet, I know quite of few people in the area with well stocked home garages so most things are possible with the right amount of time.

Oh and I have a fridge with a keg of beer in it at all times at my bar right off of the garage in my house. But ya know, for emergencies only :D .
