You're right, Sevenstein isn't very sexy a name.

Turning to history, there are many legendary beasts made out of others, such as the Sphinx, Manticore, Griffin and the Chimera.

It definately needs a name, however.

Ok, more serious. I have mustang, Austin Healey bugeye Sprite, Corvette, Hudson Commodore, Chevy pickup, Dodge Ram, Subaru Outback, Nissan 300zx, AMC Eagle, Corvair, and a Fiat Spyder. But my wife suggested, since this is the "Son of Frankenstang" it names itself.

Next step for me, rebuilding the motor and transmission. Both were free, so cannot be certain of the status other than both were running when pulled. (motor was pulled as it leaked oil, transmission appears to have damaged gear #2 or #3) I figure while rebuilding, will clean both to like-new shine. 8)

Transmission turned out to be in better shape than I feared. Gears, synchros and dogs calling great shape. It is missing the shifting rod to engage the claws however.

Gah... just offered a complete Nissan 280Z which has a rusted out frame but solid mechanics for less than the needed parts to complete my current plan.... debating with myself now.

OK how do you view those itty bitty pics. I thought you'd click in them and they'd expand but they don't.

Reading glasses.

If you used the 280Z, would that just be for the suspension components, or the engine too? While not exactly a gleaming example of modern design, power, or efficiency, the 280Z had fuel injection that might be fun to megasquirt and makes those 'sixy' noises.

I figured use as much as possible, so the engine, suspension, etc. Would be fun.

And may not, the car is not as mechanically sound as the owner stated. Crunching the numbers now to see if it works out.

Met the guy who was making them in China about 2 years ago, business was going a bit too slow at the time, worryingly slow, would be surprised if still around.

After the flirtation, back to the original plan. I remember now why I do not work with aluminum, too easy to mess up. No worries, the steel frame is still there and the Aluminum tubes/sheets can be scrap for the engine block.
