Wifey Dearest said a while back that she'd like a golf cart, so I started looking on Craigslist for a suitable candidate.
I looked at a handful of electrics and almost pulled the trigger on one last week. Yesterday this popped up in my search.

After a test drive and a little haggling, onto the trailer she went. It's a Club Car DS with the Kawasaki FE290 engine with CVT drive.
First step is a hard core pressure wash and degrease to see what's going on under the plastic. Living down here I'd expect some rust on the steel parts. Main frame I beams are aluminum.
Right now I'm thinking bigger wheels and tires. It may get the set of 10" deep dish I had in reserve for the Mini with the old Hoosier slicks.
Next up is adjusting the governor for a few more revs and stronger springs in the drive clutch. I'd like to get a couple more revs out of the motor before the belt engages.
Last on the list is possibly a lift. Being the Locost type, I'll build my own instead of buying a kit unless I see something really strange when I pull the plastics off.
Stay tuned. This one is no rush and will probably be a weekend here and there between installments on the 7 and A Mod.
