Hi, guys i posted a while back with a exochassis i was starting. Well i went back to the drawing board and decided to have it drawn up in a full cad model. With help from a gentleman in Sweden, a good friend who races formula SAE and my self we got a full cad model complete. Chassis is designed much like an At-om, but longer chassis base and strength added in places that the At-om lacks. Engine use will be a Honda K24a2 with the help of a turbo. Since the cad model is complete, I've had it sent out for quote to a couple places. I want to get a few more due to some pricing being high with a couple of them. Ive used CRD, VR3, etc. Do you guys know of any that do CNC laser cutting and bending? I am just getting into this and may need some help/advice. Thanks guys!

You already sent quotes to the places i would have suggested. Also, its not clear if one is there, but i would suggest a bar running across the back of the chassis to resits crumpling in a side impact.

You can build the most awesome thing in the world but at some point, an 80yr old man in a crx is probably going kick your butt on the track... don't ask me how I know.

If you search through the threads here* you'll find a couple of discussions about how to DIY the curved tubes. Those who have done it make it sound like no big deal.

And if the CNC shops all look too expensive, lots of chassis builders still fishmouth their tubes with holesaws and files.

* ...and pirate4x4.com. There's some really good fabrication information there, if you can put up with the "in your face" user style, eye-bleeding colors, and oversupply of dancing advertisements.
