This can be tuned with roll bar adjustment/swapping.

Whats better, carrying the inside wheel with maximum rear contact patch and a overloaded outside front tire .

Thats right, the harder you turn a corner the less grip you have, pretty much a reverse of the situation you want for both speed and safety. I'm under the impression you think thats preferable? (question, never flame).

Yes it can be, all the way to my solution!

Well I think my position is clear but whats not clear to me is why you think the outside tyre would be overloaded? What are those front tyres Pook, 225's? That width and such low weight it's probably getting closer to the loading they actually need.

It isn't about what we want. Compromise is preferrable to a straight axle front end.

I've been speaking in general terms across 3 topics. If picking up the inside tire, placing all the weight on the outside tire doesn't exceed the load where load and traction do not increase at the same rate, then the tires are too big.

I like general terms because I have certainly found in the automotive world that things are not set in stone as sometimes people think.

Anyway, I will draw a rough map of my idea but tomorrow now, it's after midnight here and I just turned into a pumpkin :leave:

The internet is a wonderful thing and also a terrible thing. It keeps stuff seemingly for ever. I dug up this thread while searching for something completely unrelated, but was very interested in this build. Also I only registered to ask what happened to this project and where in the world it might be now?

Any info available maybe?

i've spent the majotity of my life rebuilding old european stuff, porsches included, i did a valve job on a midget last week.

when i lived in England i specialized in classic americana but here i'll take anything that pays cash and it's thin on the ground, recovery-shmuvery-thievery.

The trike looks like it going to be sick! I was wondering if you finished the project.?
If so I kind of wanted to see it.

Also if you wanted to check out some trikes I have made then you can check out my page

What is the status of Pook's Trike Build?
I build homebuilt airplanes, but I've considered, for many years, starting a reverse trike project. I stumbled across PooK's project and found it fascinating. His workmanship appears to be excellent.
I wish he was near my collision shop - I would donate the paint for the project.
Anybody know if he finished it?

I think he decided to build four wheeled vehicles and sold the unfinished trike.
