the trans sits to far off to the left and would put the axle outside the rear swing arm...So it was either shift the motor to the right some 5 or 6 inches :? or add another jack shaft
I dont think it will pull any harder than say a typical spider gear diff pull trying to spin one wheel...but maybe I'm wrong....

OOPS! got so excited that it actually tilted and didnt hit anything that I forgot to lower it  I'll get some up soon.
I'm not liking the rear quarter panel designs or the wind screen so they may get an extreme makeover :ack:
Then again if money (economy) gets any worse it may get e-bay-ed

Do you know how much the bodywork weighs? It looks like you left some of the foam on for rigidity, how thick did you make it? How many layers of glass? Don't let the economy take it away from you. You made something that's both unique and good looking, that doesn't happen that often, especially with us amateurs.

Nope, I pulled all the foam in the nose, Its heavy as far as glass goes BUT I'm use to racing glass on Porsche (so thin you can see through it) I haven't weighed it but can lift it myself to move it around.
the back pieces are still foam but after I decide the shape it may or may not retain the foam.
I dont wanna see it go esp since its not done and wont bring much un finished but Im not a store it till later kind of guy.
I had hoped for some local sponsorship (paint, gauges, nicknacks) but everyone around here seems to be in the same shape moneywise.

well I went ahead and remade the back bodywork to "try" to flow it into the front a bit better. I think it works better than the old sections and if I ever decide I need an oil cooler or inter-cooler  I've got a spot for it.
also thinking of moving the mufflers down like in the pics?
Kinda looks like I rammed a bike into the a$$ end of a Testarossa :D
what do you guy's think? better? worse?

It looks cool, but it's a shame you can't take any passengers for a spin.

Now they'll just ask to drive it and once they are out of sight first you will begin to fidget, then your foot will begin tapping followed by the wringing of hands while you strain to hear anything that sounds like a crash and then your blood pressure will begin to rise.

LOL!

I once rode a Mates XN 85 Suzuki 850 turbo, I returned to find no one around and later 2 cars returned of those people who had been out looking for me - I was gone for 25 minutes, I said "Oh just around the block...." He wasn't happy!

Hey, how are you running your fuel? Are you running both tanks trough
a common pump or is a secondary tank feeding a main tank via low pressure pump?

there is a cross over hose at the bottom of each tank so they seek their own level and equalize kinda like a water level works. the small vents at the top are connected also to stop air lock. one tank outlet is flow to the pump and the other tank is the return.

thanks pook. i wasen't sure just one line would equalize fast enough when filling. i thought i would have to have a fat tube run across like on the c5 and c6 vettes. werk...

Great looking build. And the fiberglass looks great as well.

The only thing that raised my eyebrows was the front upper arm link. This point has no lateral bracing other than the bend on the tube it is attached to and no vertical support other than the same tube.

Now it is true that the rear arm will take something like 80% of the loads but I am too nervous a person not to triangulate everything. This might not be an issue if the tune is strong enough.

Heres a picture of the point I'm talking about. With a potential brace added in MSPaint.

I maybe completely wrong but I'd rather bring it up and be wrong then not bring it up and see that beautiful frame bent under loads.

I see that and have thought about it before, what direction do you guys think the load will be? I know they will try to pull away from the tube in a corner so no bracing will help (well I guess I could tie them across the chassis to each 1x2???) The tube is 1/8th wall dom and the brackets are 3/16 btw. I cant picture in mind the load direction under hard brakes....is it upwards as the nose tries to dive?
Thanks for the heads up!
New body picture, I moved the exaust down under body ..... :?:
