Here is a source of unusual header components. Items you can find here: Flat four and flat 3 collectors as well as traditional round collectors for 4 and 3 tube headers.

Also, Speedway Motors is a very good source of mandrel bent tubing. Very high quality and low prices.

Great link. For the time required to build a collector and the cost of a couple of j-bends, their prices seem pretty reasonable.

Great find. Their prices on header kits are really reasonable. I had done some rough estimate with some other sources and came up with prices at least $50 more without a collector. I think that is who I will be using.

You might also consider Columbia River Mandrel Bending.

They have for example both 2.25" and 4.5" radius bends in 1.5" tubing to allow the pipes to "nest" for a better look. Prices also seem reasonable. The 1.5" tubing is 16 gauge better than 18 gauge IMO. Possibly use both companies to achieve the best result.
