north american cosworth
I've been searching for quite a while for a source for a mt75 trans, this is what the UK locosters use for the zetec.
I've been exchanging emails with Daz there for a bit now, and he can get me the RWD MT75 for $400 plus shipping, or the cosworth T5 bellhousing for $200

Cosworth uses the same bellhousing as the zetec, so these are the parts you'd want to use.

Plus the upside over other bellhousings, the clutch is already figured out.

its worth contacting these guys, they have been a lot of help to me.

[edit] word sensor keeps changing their name, odd [/edit]

Just spoke to DAZ
he has 1 mt75 in as well as a stack of T9's
Hes asking $250 for the T9's and $400 for the MT75
just checking int whether or not the T9's have the right bellhousing
if they do, thats much cheaper than the alternatives.

Let him know I told you about it.

it's because c i a l i s is a blocked word, and the filter's stupid. I'll take a look and see if I can settle it down a little.

Those are good prices...i paid $690 for my t5 and thought i got a good deal. I would go w/ the mt75 or t5, as opposed the type9. The type9's, unless you spend a lot to upgrade them, don't have the strength to hold up to the ~200hp you can get out of a zetec or duratec.

Wow! I got my T5 for $100, and I thought it seemed a bit steep at the time. Maybe not! Of course, $400 for the bellhousing to mate it to my Zetec drove the price up a little... :crying:

I'm keeping the zetec stock internals. its getting bike carbs and a header, but shouldn't be an issue for the T9, the brits swear by them, only complaint they have is lack of ratios avaliable.

MT75 is supposedly same (or similar) internals with an alloy case and integrated bellhousing.

I'd like to use the mt75, but I'm trying to make my budget streach on this build.

Mine is a rebuild, w/ all new internals built to the t-5 z-spec. If you look around, that is a good price for a professionally rebuilt t5z.
