Just thought I'd post this here - NTDWM, but wish I'd seen it a few years back. Would have saved me a TON of money!! It's like buying the bellhousing, and getting the engine & trans thrown in for free...

Mods - I know this is a private seller, not a commercial supplier - if the thread belongs elsewhere, please feel free to move it!

Chances are he will have a hard time selling.... you could pick up some spares for cheap I bet. Never a bad idea to have spares if you run your car hard.
Cheers.

Could well be, but...with the cost & scarcity of Zetec engines around these parts, plus the $600USD price of the bellhousing (roughly $1000CDN by the time you get it here), and the fact that good T-5's are getting hard to find, it's still a pretty good deal. My buddy paid almost $1000CDN for his Zetec engine - no trans or bellhousing. Needless to say, he's kicking his own butt, right now...

As it happens, I just sourced another Zetec myself (as a spare, and as I wanted an oil pan & pickup pipe to shorten), at the fire-sale price of $200. If I hadn't, I'd be giving the deal in the ad a hard look, myself.

I wonder what version of t-5 it is and what the ratios are? And if the zetec has all the efi stuff with it still? That would be a good deal for someone.
