Tiger's making a starter kit that is a "tribute" to the Lotus Mk VI. Uses a lot of Spitfire/Herald stuff with an Escort Mk 1/2 rear axle. Any thoughts on this and/or Tiger? You can use fifties BMC, Triumph/Standard, Ford Sidevalve. Might be interesting with a Kent installed...

I have a copy of the "How To Build Your own Tiger Avon Sports Car" by Jim Dudley.
The book is very detailed with lots of colour photos and technical information.
I especially like the one piece fibreglass rear tub that includes the rear fenders, scuttle and sides, even includes all the dimensions.
To me the kit looks quite well made and some thought has been put into the design.
If I had the money I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of I could.
The book doesn't mention a HS6, maybe it is a later model, but does mention in detail several of their other variations.

Its interesting how Tiger sells it. Its not sold as a kit per se. What you get is a frame, complete with aluminum bodywork. Just the nose, fenders, scuttle, and minor parts are fiberglass. So, its true, in a sense, to the Lotus originals, with aluminum for sides, bonnet, and (I think) floor. The frame can accmodate numerous vintage power plants and suspension set ups, so Tiger offers to set the frame up to your choices, or you can do it yourself. So its better though of as a frame/body package than as a screw it together kit. Tiger did set up their demo using mostly 1500 Spitfire stuff with a solid rear axle (was if Ford or MG? Can't recall right now), but frame/body is accommodating to far more than that. The structure does appear to have more MK VI in it than locost.

But, it is unique, more than mods to Tiger's other cars.
