Its interesting how Tiger sells it. Its not sold as a kit per se. What you get is a frame, complete with aluminum bodywork. Just the nose, fenders, scuttle, and minor parts are fiberglass. So, its true, in a sense, to the Lotus originals, with aluminum for sides, bonnet, and (I think) floor. The frame can accmodate numerous vintage power plants and suspension set ups, so Tiger offers to set the frame up to your choices, or you can do it yourself. So its better though of as a frame/body package than as a screw it together kit. Tiger did set up their demo using mostly 1500 Spitfire stuff with a solid rear axle (was if Ford or MG? Can't recall right now), but frame/body is accommodating to far more than that. The structure does appear to have more MK VI in it than locost.
But, it is unique, more than mods to Tiger's other cars.
