Could I get some input/opinions on the above please?

Its about a hour's drive from me. I'm hoping to see it on the weekend.

George Fejer. ..
Company name, Chinook racing cars from Ottowa then Barrie then apparently moved to Florida.
Supposedly he built several cars for Steve McQueen but that may be hype, I don't know.
Gotta love that 2T though, it's a great little motor. The 2T-G (same bottom end) had a DOHC head made by Yamaha and dual webers were available.

According to "The Lotus Seven and the Independents" by Dennis Ortenburger, this was a well regarded kit by the Fejer brothers. It is based on the Seven but with a steel tube transmission tunnel with further triangulation in the engine bay and the suspension pickup points. Quality is regarded as high according to magazine test reports of the time.

Engine, gearbox, axle and brakes are from Toyota Corolla. Kit price was $8500 Canadian and $12,500 assembled.

Sounds well worth looking at! Good luck.

I don't know anything about those motors except for what google turned up. The ad says 1800cc.......I thought 2TC is 1600cc?

2TC is 1600. That's what I ran in TETANUS, but with the 5 speed gearbox.
Decent power and great reliability. Lots of aftermarket go fast goodies still available

The guy also said on the phone its a "hemi" head.....was the 1600 a double overhead cam plug in the middle engine?

He never built the car, he bought it out of Quebec already done I believe.

Yep, it's a Hemi.
Here's a shot of TETANUS 2TC right before she left for Florida

So if its a 2TC it should be a 1600?

And if its a 1800cc it should be a 3TC?

Yep. Actually the block will be marked 2T or 3T, the C defines the build spec.

horizon, or anyone; the comment re "steel tube center" sounds intriguing- I "interwebbed" for a couple of hours, and could find only a few CL type photos of Fejer L7's, none of bare frame or car w/o body work. I am curious how this tubular center design might effect the overall flexibility and strength of the car.

The Fejer brothers were responsible for the Chinook Can am car which has won the Witsun Trophy race at the Goodwood revival in recent years

Twenty five years ago a Fejer Seven was the first Seven that I had ever driven. What I remember most was the brutal wind buffeting above 50mph. And this was compared to my Westfield Eleven that had just a sport screen that I looked over, but it did have doors. The side screens on my Deman Motorsport SR7 make all the difference for comfort.

Sorry. I haven't even gone to look at it yet!

We have had the worse possible weather with heavy rains and high winds every weekend since the guy put the ad up. I'm quite sure from the wording of his ad and from talking to him on the phone that he will not let me even push it outside if there is a hint of it getting wet. So I've been waiting for a good day.

I'd go some evening, but its pitch black here now by 5 PM when I get off work.

No one has snapped the car up yet......maybe he will come down on the price a bit?
