I've seen 'em somewhere on the interwebs, but now that I want to use them, I can't find them. Anyone got access to a good set of drawings or even a good set of basic photos to show the details/dimensions of their frame? Don't want to do an exact copy of the car, but the frame should work for what I have in mind.

A few good detail pics of the undercarriage and pax footwell. Looks to be 4 inch tube rails like the cobra.

Yep, it does look like 4" tube. It's likely that I'm recalling a different maker's frame, because it was all flat planes, no round tube. Possibly even folded sheet metal and not steel tubing at all. Thanks for finding that, though; there's a lot of seldom-seen detail to pick up. One thing I find sadly detracting/distracting about the overall design of the Kougar is that prominent proboscis. It's my opinion that it simply sticks out too far. Of course, to get the mechanicals under the skin and keep the grille design, it's almost mandatory to have that protrusion. I myself could work with a shorter, wider radiator grille, set further back, since I don't think there's any parts inside the nose that must be there by need.

Take a look at a Panoz, particularly the rear.

Also note the "freestanding" rear fenders. Something I'm considering for my build to clear Car9's long trailing arms and allow for the taper in the boot. Except mine would be Fenders-n-More style, not the voluptuous ones like the Kougar's.

freestanding fenders also make using the stock IRS as-is without narrowing, important to a no-budget build like what I'm looking at, simpler to implement

Checked out Panoz but nothing really struck me as better than what we've been working with. Not to say Panoz isn't interesting. though

I can't add anything to the drawing search, but have you googled HWM-Jaguar? The chassis were fairly agricultural but the completed cars looked quite nice:

The HWM Stovebolt special is a good one to google.

Rethinking the Kougar frame as it doesn't seem to use the whole factory subframe. Need a taller profile than a 7 engenders, might be going off the reservation too far to be able to follow any "book" frame designs.

Take a look thru SeattleTom's build log. He's doing a great build and that frame, a Car9, is quite a few inches taller than a Locost. Plus you con can kind of stretch the nodes around to adjust things a bit.
