Post subject:  Miata compatible gauge clusters
Any recommendation of gauges compatible with the miata gauge clusters? What voltage/spec/signals are the stock gauge clusters receiving? Im using the stock miata fuel pump/sender too

Gauges are calibrated to work with their specific senders.
If you want to use the miata cluster, use the gauges that came with it.
There are gauge skins you can buy in different colors and styles to make the gauges appear different.
I believe some year models (96?) had a fake oil pressure gauge controlled by the computer.

What ever gauges you select, make sure you get the sender/sensor.
With the miata fuel level sensor, you need a miata fuel gauge for the calibration to work.

Most aftermarket gauges are going to work with 12-14 volts. Most aftermarket fuel gauges are going to work with most aftermarket fuel senders (the ohm range for both will be specified, typically 33-240).

I wouldn't be too determined to use the Miata sender. On my Locost, a 50-year-old Smiths fuel gauge (24-240 ohm) works fine with a standard Stewart-Warner sender (33-240 ohm), but the ohm range for the Miata gauge is non-standard and considerably lower, in the 10-90 neighborhood. You're unlikely to find any aftermarket gauge that will work with the Miata sender.

I saw on an episode of Wheeler Dealers recently where they removed the gauges from a cluster and mounted them separately on a bespoke dashboard. It wasn't a Miata, however, and it probably wasn't as easy as they made it sound.
