Hi guys.. I'm looking for a small, dash mounted rear view mirror that I can source from an old car (model/make/year)... think early Corvette or early Volvo 1800, but a smaller one..

I'm working on a tiny car (Berkeley), and I don't want to use a new 'bling' off-the-shelf chrome aftermarket mirror; I'd like a old OEM (or new repro) mirror I can bolt in that looks like it belongs- trouble is I can't think of an older, small car that would have had a dash mounted mirror that would be appropriate..

*can't mount to the windshield as I'm running an AH100 'foldable' windscreen..

Any thoughts?

Thanks-

dean,

My 1956 Alfa Spider had a almost too small dash mounted mirror. Trying to find one of those might be a problem. And if you do the price might also be a problem. Surly there are aftermarket one out there around that size.

Good luck!

MGA or AH Sprite (Mk 1) have nice small dash mounted mirrors. Both are typically available from the usual british parts suppliers.

That's the exact mirror I bought for the Topolino.
Got it on Amazon $15

PERFECT!

Thank you guys for the suggestions.. Duh! If I'm going to pirate the AH windshield, why not think to pirate the dash mirror from the same car?!

I looked up the TR3 mirror as an option too, but I think the base/stem is too tall(?)...

I recently bought my taillights from jollyrogersmotors.com and they were super nice and helpful, steering me toward used OEM Lucas lenses that are truly 'red' as opposed to repros that are very dark (purple-ish) and don't throw much light.. I'm glad for their help as the lenses they sold me are perfect for a car that's driven and needs to be seen.. I'm happy to give them more business, no matter how small..

Thanks guys-

Dean
