After too long with no progress and way to long of work hours I have made some progress. Fenders are pretty much symmetrical although need proper trimming and another layer or 2 of glass. I am going to have to add a hood scoop similar to the stawker for air to the intercooler as well as to make a hand grip accesable from the front to open the hood.
Still have to cut the stainless pieces for the sides.

I like it and I don't, but I'll be damned if I can tell what I don't like.

I can tell you what I like. I like the front fenders and the fact you've got a trunk.

Maybe it's just the stage it's at as different things catch my attention and I don't see it as a cohesive whole yet. In any case very good work and glad to see you trying some things. It certainly makes it look more like a car!

Looking good!

Has a nice vintageish look to it, that I suspect should provide at least some aero benefits over a traditional Seven. I don't know why, because your car really has nothing to do with it, but the first word that pops into my head when I see it is "Gatsby".

Was not the car in Gatsby a Duesenburg or Cord. I did (have been ) considering doing the exhaust pipes/headers coming out the sides of the hood and into the fenders to vents on the outside of the fenders to vent heat out from the turbo area ( well both sides for symmitry. It would nicely reinforce the hood to fender strength but might look tacky if done incorrectly.

I thought it was a Rolls Royce, and in the mid-20's I don't think anything really had that swoopy awesomeness yet...Even if that's how my mind tries to picture them still apparently.

Some pipes out the sides of the hood and into the fenders like that could definitely add some serious cool points, as you said, if done correctly...Although I have faith you could get it right, as you seem to have a pretty good eye for styling.

Though it's probably all the same width, the front is visually narrower than the rear, which makes it look tail-heavy in the rear picture.

I'm not sure what could be done about it, and honestly, it's a lot less butt-heavy than a 7, which is shaped like a golf tee. Also, despite the amount of work done so far (which I believe I can appreciate, since I gave up LONG before I got a decent panel, much less a real part!) this is very early along; once the car is finished off with a (vee?!) windshield, lights, and possibly bumpers, the visual cues may change quite a bit.

I still like it!

That's a lot more G-rated than my usual description of a Locosts general shape and proportions...

I personally love the shape!

Getting it in one color will help showing the true forms.

In Leslie Charteris' "The Saint" novels, Simon Templar drove a car he called the "Hirondelle."
