I don't mind too much if the weather gets in the car with me. It's when the scenery (Rocks, dirt, twigs, leaves, the occasional small reptile...) tries to get in the car with me that really causes problems.

I've never drilled any holes in my fully-welded steel floor. I figured anything that let water out could let it in. I've never gotten soaked enough in the rain to have to bail anything out, and if I ever did, I could always drill a a hole then.

nick47: We know it does not rain in sunny Cal. But you're missing out on a major Seven experience here: You need to park your Seven under the springer, so you can shop vac out all the water and set the seats out in the sun for three days to dry out. DaveW

Those of us in the Pacific Norhtwet know about rain. After all,we pretty much don’t get snow, we get rain by the bucketful instead. It’s not uncommon for us to get as much rain in a day as some parts of the US get in a year, or even a decade. It’s just something we have to plan for. 2”-3” of water in the car ain’t going to evaporate quickly!
