Was looking at images of Lotus 7s online and came across this from our counterparts in the UK.

For those of you that want more weather protection. :lol:

I think its a Photoshop job, but it definitely shows some distinct possibilities! I've loved it from the first time I saw it!

Agree that it looks good, but also agree it's Photoshopped. Look at the windscreen support bracket, for example; you can see how it fades into the pillar. In fact, what are support brackets doing there. Also, what's with the bottom of the doors; may as well make it real VW doors, not bow it out and make it a different color. Whatever, it's still an interesting idea.
