i looked for those a while ago and none of the auto stores hand anything over 5/8. Think they will apply enough tension? amazon has them.

You can build the most awesome thing in the world but at some point, an 80yr old man in a crx is probably going kick your butt on the track... don't ask me how I know.

Mubea and Rotor Clip make them up to 2 1/2 inch diameter. I've had good success with both brands.

They're the factory choice on quite a few Ford and Chrysler vehicles.

They do. The thing is, you need a clamp that provides close to equal clamp force all around the diameter of the hose and maintain it's roundness.

I like the spring clamps because you can't accidentally over tighten them

i think i am going to try both. I want to eliminate the step up coupler in the center of both of these tubes buy using a straight alimunum pipe and the shrink clamps. For the connections that get disassembled, i will use the constant spring clamps.

So I was able to simplify the connections, and tidy everything up by using the power grips. They look to hold really well but we will see once I put fluid back in. I am waiting for the other clamps but in the mean time u tried the hairspray thing someone suggest on my build thread.

If you are going with the spring clips dont forget to treat yourself to a pair of these pliers, one of those bigger clips leaving the jaws of ordinary pliers can be entertaining :)
