What kind of information are you looking for. Stainless is way too heavy.

What thickness of aluminum are you using?

0.040" steel will be the same weight as 0.125" aluminum.

The tank is .090

Steve, without going thru the numbers, I have to believe that the difference in weight of 0.040 SS vs 0.090 aluminum tank has got to be less than a couple of burgers, 1 good piss, or a 1/4 gallon of fuel. Maybe I'm off by a factor of 3. Still not something I would be concerned about. You could always make the tank just a bit smaller to offset the added weight? But if E85 is a your goal, I'd say do it once in SS and move on. But it is your dream and your car. So my thoughts are worth what you paid for them.

The tank has been done for months. It's almost plumbed. I don't know how material became a question. Anyway the decision to coat the inside was proactive to the E85. That will only happen if it's turboed and that won't happen unless I feel this set up is weak with current engine. I think I am light enough that this engine will perform well. Pushing on to a first fire up end of the month.
