I just ordered a new tank for my classic Mini project and it sure looks like it would fit the trunk of a Locost. Mini Spare's webpage mentions it being commonly used in kit cars along with the Mini estates: https://minispares.com/product/Classic/ ... 1a292.aspx

The main part of the tank is about 36" wide and 11" deep (edge of flange to edge of flange). When you factor in the filler neck its about 40" wide but it looks like the neck could be modified fairly easily if needed to fit a Locost.

Andrew, once you have the part in hand could you take three orthogonal photos, one from above, one from ahead or astern, and one from end on with max dimensions for each. A big ask I know but it would be helpful to see if it really fits an individual car.
