Excellent videos.

Europe seems to have some fantastic hillclimb events and some even better cars for those events.

I completely agree... The scenery alone is amazing! I like seeing the old twin charged group b cars like the Delta S4 and the Audi Quattro's... wicked little machines!

There are some equally stunning videos from Australia on youtube...

I'd be curious for some pointers to the Australian ones. The roads and scenery are amazing as was just the fact that there are spectators. Have to admit though that my interest in sevens and also my FF makes me keep thinking "why are they dragging so much stuff like doors and windows up that hill?". Seems like a somewhat senseless exercise. I like the homemade "rigs" that people show up with at the local east coast events. The variety adds up to a lot of fun. I also really like the Friday nite and Saturday nite social time. There something for everyone - you can drink yourself silly or just watch - either way it's good!

You guys are both east coast types and we have some nice hillclimbs in these parts though. There is a PA hillclimb group with a web page and my avatar was a picture taken at the Reading one. I'm not completely sure, but in the big version of the picture there is a sidewalk in the background which seems like a clue :) .

If you ever feel like traveling to New England we have a few but don't get many spectators. You could get a job as a corner worker pretty easily though and that is a lot of fun, plus your more involved which adds to it.

We may consider that for a little road trip this season... Do you have a schedule yet? Our local SCCA chapter isn't updated quite yet with all of the events...(cincy region)

Here are a few Tarmac rally videos from Tasmania and other parts of Australia:

I could go on forever... lol! Not quite as much vintage metal as the German videos, but occasionally an old Holden or Ford will pop up...

And New Zealand...

Nah, I'll take that Delta S4 with its' doors and windows any day over a Locost or FF for a hillclimb
The whole thing weigh ~1800 lbs and has a twin charged 1.7L motor which sends over 400 ponies to all four wheels.
It's like coming to a gun fight with a stinger missile
