It's an old tradition amongst racing drivers. Fishermen only think they're great liars, they can't begin to compare to a bunch of racing drivers! In Dixie Region SCCA we have what is called the "JK Rule" (named after a buddy of mine). The rule states, "Any story worth repeating is worth exaggerating a little bit."
