Well it's not really Mazda's but it does use a Miata.

Here are 2 threads with pics. Maybe it will help somebody out with some ideas.

They've taken an interesting approach to frame design and while the body doesn't have doors, that I can see, the frame gives provision for small ones. Probably just enough to make it a little easier to enter & exit.

Obviously the "full underbody diffuser" isn't in place in the pics or the video.

I "think" they are saying that it will be about 600-700 pounds lighter than a stock Miata. That's based upon the fact that it is supposed to be 500 pounds lighter than the NCLite which is over 100 pounds lighter than stock.

The name turned me off and made me think the nose was going to be ugly, but it's surprisingly good looking. It might make for an alternative, closed wheel body after production runs begin.

I don't find any provisions for a cage or good roll bar, but I'm betting they've already thought about it since they talk about this being a track car.

Looks like a bolt-to-the-subframes kit, which sure keeps costs down...but it's hard to do with classic styling 'cause the shocks stick up so high and wide and the front control arms mount so far apart. OTOH, if you're going to make a stripped Miata I think it's the cool way to go because of the enormous cost and easy-to-build benefits. So if you're manufacturing an exocar kit or a modern body kit it's probably unbeatable as a commercial product. Whether the mfgs pass the cost savings to the customers remains to be seen.

But a Seven or 11 or Lola body won't work with that front shock layout. Sigh.

Great job guys, it looks stunning! I would love to see it in different colours, or colors to you, the white/red possibly does not do it justice. Only thing I would consider revisiting is the screens, curved ones way fit the "curves" theme better perhaps.
The world is going to run out of MX5's at this rate. We have sold over 300 Exocets now and MEVSTER looks like it is going to be a hit too.
Good luck. Regards Stuart

I'll have to say their Catfish is prettier than my Catfish.

True, but you're congratulating the wrong guys. They're at http://bauerltd.com/

And Stuart, congratulations on your 300+ Exocet sales. You're selling about as many Exocet kits a year as Stalker sales total. I doubt you'll run the world out of Miatas, but I'll bet you have the same effect on GB's beater Miatas as the Locost had on GB's beater Cortinas--once the muggles start putting "Perfect donor for a..." in their CraigsList ads, the prices creep up.
