At least that's what it seems like.

Toyota, you know the unintended acceleration people who hid the truth about the reason for it for years so it wouldn't hurt sales, is showing a new toy with possible production potential.

Thanks for the interesting post. I'll have to say this is in the "I'll believe it when I see it" category. I don't mean a show or concept car, I mean a real production car. Now if it turns up at the show and has a Scion badge instead of Toyota one, I'd give it a little more credibility, but not a whole lot.

Cheers,

Was that ever proven, or it is another Texas conspiracy theory like your recent Jade Helm fiasco? :P

Yes, it was proven, but by the time it came out so much time had passed the relatively small fine and articles were buried deep in the newspaper and it got very little press.

Yeah, it's unlikely no matter who's name is on the car, but since it's Toyota I'd guess there is no chance that will be made. As much as I like Toyota for reliable, well engineered cars..... they are an incredibly boring company. The reason they are so reliable is because they never do anything new. Scion exists so that they can play around a bit without worrying about the Toyota name being tarnished if the new engineering has issues.

Looks like a cooler 4-wheel version of the Elio motors car:
