So I installed the u bolts and after getting the right combination of hooks and chain. I came up with a solution that I like. I can quickly lock down the ramps, the chain binder has good tension on it to keep it from vibrating open and even if it does, the hooks have keepers and the u bolts keep the ramps from being able to slide off the trailer. If I go someplace that is questionable I can throw a lock over the binder to lock the ramps to the trailer. All I need to do now is finish weld the d rings to the trailer and hit them with some spray paint.

And in the locost fashion, the chain binder was a freebee I found on the side of road while picking up some trash.

Thanks to everyone for your ideas in input.

Ahhh, I was thinking the square u-bolts were going into the trailer deck, not the ramps. Wasn;t sure how that was going to work. As they say, A picture is worth a thousand words. Duh! :BH:

What's going to keep the front end of the ramps from bouncing and hitting the underside of the car when you go over bumps? Or even keep the ramps from sliding left to right? Just sayin'

The chain binder tightens the chain quite a bit pulling down on the ramps. It would take quite a bump to cause the ramps to bounce, even all the way up at the front of the ramps.
