I'd seen bits here and there of this over the years. I just binge-watched the lot. Some brilliant work there. Imagine what they could do with a decent unit of measurement, such as inches, feet, and yards.

Reminds me a bit of the old TV show "Cheers", where a critic once said, "People used to go down to the pub for a drink and to socialize. Now they watch a TV show about people going to a pub and socializing." As long as you're still working on your car, I guess it's okay to watch :)

I get a lot from those videos. First thing I get is that someone is taking as long with their build as I am with mine...

If you look at their YouTube videos as business for them, which it is, they have zero reason to finish the project. Just keep adding more needless/questionable features to keep video views happening. I wonder if they'd be doing the same if there was no YouTube.

Anyone have betting pool on how long they own it after completion?
My own bet would be that some rich twit buys it before it's quite finished and only lets them do a test drive.
Good chance it never really sees the road beyond some car shows.

There's a "preview" of the next Bad Obsession project out on their Youtube channel. "Life after Death's Horse" or some such nonsense. Looks verrrrrrry interesting!

I've learned a lot from these guys. Glad to see they're going to do more projects.

The boys from Bad Obsession have a new video series going. Look for "Escargot Part 1" on Youtube. It's not as funny as Binky... yet. But kinda interesting.

Thanks for pointing us to this. I enjoyed watching it...real guys doing real stuff, stuff that I could see myself doing at some time.

Interestingly, my brother, who races a 1972 Mini, began making a racer transporter out of an old truck last fall, stuffing an E350 drivetrain into a mid fifties bread van thingee. Apparently it's dangerous playing with old Minis as it makes you play with ugly old trucks too.

I find shows that this a treasure trove of great ideas and out of the box thinking. I'll never build an AWD Mini but watching their techniques for bracket making, wire routing, packaging, and more are great.

Heck, even something as "crass" as Hoonigan's channel has a huge variety of technical info from backyard budget builds to six (or seven?) figure professional race cars. Again, I'll never build an AWD F150 with a Ford GT engine, but seeing the way they designed frame sections to be modular, the remote cooling system in the bed, and the way they used same suspension arms front and rear to optimize necessary spares are all fascinating ideas that can be incorporated into a current or future build of mine.

Although I gotta admit this newest effort was weak. I mean, we can all imagine who to removal / gutting / etc. I wish they'd simply started with what now will be Episode 2.

I've got no complaints about it. Not as good as Binky. To be fair, they haven't gotten into any design/fab work yet. They appear to be doing this in a different locale. It probably wouldn't fit into their Binky shop. Certainly not with Binky still under development.

I'm kinda excited about the car hauler build. I'm hoping to build a trailer out of a ruined camper so I look forward to taking notes from these guys.
