I just wanted to say in my first post here: hello!

Also, I'm going to need all your help. :D In any case, I've finally got the courage to attempt my McSorley based build partially because I want a race car and partially because my Porsche decided to die. So I just want to introduce myself and ask you the first question of many...

Where do I procure RHS for cheap.

Also have picture of Kubica's crashed car from Canada.

Welcome!

The answer to your question will greatly depend on your location.

Most metal supplier will have it in stock. It is rather common...
I live near Palm Springs, CA and their are 3 places near me that I can purchase it. Phone book or the internet would be good starting points. Since you didn't list your city or zip I can help too much.

If you still cant find any ask a fence guy (wrought iron fence guys will have a led on it).

1' X 1', 16 gauge, RHS ( two place I went to had NO IDEA what RHS was, but "16 gauge 1' square tubing" got me what I needed). Good luck to you...

Might help if you ask for hrs, as in "hot-rolled steel". :)

Reposting....posting link as not to sound like an A-hole.
http://locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.p ... hlight=rhs

Be prepared to explain what you want in a couple different ways.

Haha, I believe this is my problem because no one has any idea what RHS is. I'll have to look into getting 16 gauge 1" square tubing. On a side note, I think you made the Spinal Tap Stonehenge mistake.

Cool, a local guy.
As Kurt (KB58) said, IMS is the way to go - 818-394-3188 for the square tubing.
If you need DOM tubing (control arms or roll bar) I found that Totten tube have a good price - 800-882-3748 .

May the schwartz be with you!

You are quick!
I think my first post would have made whores blush and angels weep. (Editing I think was a better option.) Hope both, in context, were helpful.

Wow, you guys have been absolutely invaluable. Now I'm faced with the problem of my vast array of "expert" friends telling me I should be making a circular tube frame... Oh, the peanut gallery.
