Thought I would post a little something about my car. Originally built by JTRobb on here, and then purchased by kentfinnerty on here, I bought the car from Kent in April of 2011. I flew from Iowa to VA/DC and drove the car back, it was quite an experience. Maybe later I'll try to write up a trip report later.

Some of the basics:
Powered by a 2002 Yamaha R1 bike engine
Has a Quaife reverse box (1st one blew up 2 years ogo, on the 2nd one now)
Front end is based on cut down Toyota Celica struts, rear is IRS from same Celica. Rear end gearing is 3.91(?) and it sucks on the highway but it quite fun around town.
Car weighs 1198 with a full tank of gas

Here are a couple pictures of the car.

Is there a build log for this car?

Looks like a lot of fun.

Here is JTRobb's build log viewtopic.php?p=1115 Looks like most of the linked pictures are MIA, but towards the end of the thread it looks like he re-posted a link to his Flickr album that has them all.

Thanks for the offer, but it's not a highway car and I'm not really up for trailering it that far. Besides, my summer is pretty full already. Maybe if you guys ever get further north I'll reconsider it.

Thanks, I thought they looked a little odd at first, but they've grown on me. When I had to replace a headlight, it was pretty easy to just mask it off w/ tape and hit it with some flat black spray paint to match the other one.

Pretty sure my wife would kill me if I 'volunteered' to host something like this. It'd be hard enough to just get away for a weekend for one of these events with two little ones under 4.

Yeah, full face helmet is pretty much a MUST when driving this, what with no windshield and no front fenders.

What in particular do you want to see of the front suspension? I can grab some pictures next time I'm out in the garage.

Hey Josh, a closeup showing the modified strut upright and upper ball joint would be edifying. ;-)
