Boris, just wondering what spring rate you are running on the rear of the car? I think our weights should be pretty close.

Nice doors. I had a similar idea for the hinges. The door doesn't need to be held open wile entering/ exiting. Your latch is about as simple as it comes.

Feh. I was stuck between "take it off and lay it on the ground" and "conventional hinges with latch at back of door." Boris's design is *much* better than anything I came up with.

the door works a treat you can have steering wheel set up high or low with no interference to you hands, i made it like that as a mate made a bet that i could not get it to open with the side mirrors
on the scuttle. will now make the wind deflector wrap around on the doors a little to match the scuttle deflector.

I have a question or two about the wind screen.

Just how much air pressure is on those wind screens? I must use auto windshield glass (no lexan) due to local laws, and trying to get a handle on just how much "weight" will be exerted on this setup.

not sure of the pressure but have had the car on the trak and on one main straight it was just under 260 klm per hour
or in mph around 150mph did not notice any distorsion

Job very well done. It's distinctive in a very good way. One little question: Do you have issues with your elbows banging the doors? The Locosts that I've driven seem to end up with my elbows hanging out the sides.

Boris, your build is a beauty. Lots of inspiration and ideas to borrow.

If a Lotus 7 type could ever look sleek and stay faithful to the original lines Boris has achieved it! Looking sweet!
