This error has been showing up for the last week or so. Thus far it has been just a nuisance, but it is often accompanied by some slowness on the site.

Here are the errors as they are displayed:

This was from a couple of days ago, while trying to log in.

I've been getting similar messages when I login and logout. I do a "reload page" from my browser in both cases and everything works out as it should.

Yes, it is getting annoying. I've written to the hosting company on other issues (like the almost 3-day unavailability of the site) and never received the courtesy of a reply so far. Twits!

Cheers,

Maybe time to upgrade to MySQL 5.

I usually find that and super slow speed is a prelude to the site crashing.

You're getting that and I'm getting the super slow speeds so I'm expecting the site to go down again very soon.

I have a couple of websites using MySQL. Table metadata gets corrupted from time to time, especially on very active tables, and as a result the table can no longer be accessed. If it's a critical table, like for example the one containing forum posts, the site will be down. If it's less critical, like a tracking or statistics table, you might just see errors, and the site could slow down. The corrupted table can be fixed in a few seconds, but to do that you need access to a MySQL client.

It sounds like you should be hosting the system, Nick.
