A bit off subject.
Apologies.

Noticed at your first post here, that were going to use some pontiac solstice parts. I am considering the Ecotech LNF motor that came in the solstice
Any thought about that motor
tks

Ill stick with the car thing for now ...the bobber thing is form over function ,riding a rigid rear vibrating low hp bike would probably get old fast.Im not sure what a boss hogg bike is but i shal pass on the compliment .

fritz ,im not really familiar with the solstice engine but as i havent heard anything bad from mechanic freinds of mine id give it a go ,i think that most engines these days are going to be much the same as far as reliability ,the only thing i would look at is the weight of the thing as alot of turbocharged 4 cyl engines have steel blocks and with all the turbo stuff added weigh a ton .

I hoped that you might know for sure

I got my front fenders from carbon mods ,they fit around 245-45-18 tires so the 17'' tires ill use will work fine and the wider look goes with the bigger than standard sized car.A couple of pics of my flywheel ...its far too nice to hide away ,wish i could hang it on my wall and look at it.Next step is actually doing real work on the thing ...once i have revamped the wifes bathroom.

Well its been a few months since i posted ..mainly because its so friggin hot here i havent done much to the car.I got some wilwood dynalight brakes for the front, they are really light..not sure of the actual weight but half he weight of the cast iron stuff is what i read.I also got a set of konig feather wheels..17x7.5 all around ,i wanted smaller but finding this style that i like in the bolt pattern proved difficult..and nito nt01 tires 225-40-17..not the optimum sidewall size but im not senna so i wont know the difference. The wheels weigh 17 pounds each!.I made 2 rollbars..one with 90 bends and the other with 80 so if idont like one or the other i have a choice. I need to add 1.5'' to the nose to clear the radiator,i think the car looks proportionally good considering its bigger than an original lotus.

Hey thanks for the compliments guys!.Something i havent mentioned yet was the oil filter relocator. The original filter was inline with the frame tube and to remove would have meant jacking up the engine at least 3-4 inches ,so i got a remote filter housing that is made by moroso and plumb'd it to a remote filter housing that uses a small block chev type filter..cheap and easy to find.I had to cut a little bit of tube away but i boxed it in so i cant imagine it losing any strength. The other good thing about its new location is its going to be easier to replace the filter at oil change time.
