no big update,

i got a used coilover kit for $10 and some used golf cart coil overs. should be good enough for mockup, right? Just needing some brackets and bits from mr. jack's treasure chest and then I can roll it around. I got some 17" escalade wheels for my truck, so I can use the 15" nissan wheels for the project. and vice versa if I need bling at a autox event. :) maybe next summer I'll be close.

So after removing driver side accessories, I've tacked in motor mounts. I used 240sx uppers and jaguar XJ6 lowers (+ jag rubber) and some 2" square tubing. The sump on a 240 is in front and as of now hangs below the frame 1.25", and the lowest part of the bell housing also hangs down. So I may have to re-think the mounts, but I had kept a hold of the jag parts for a long time just for this purpose. I had to try. I have my control arms all tacked in place, but I used low grade 1/8" steel to mock up the pickup points, so I won't finalize anything until I get the Kinetic parts in. Just used clamps to hold parts in place to check lengths and angles.

Tacked in the front, using golf cart shocks for rolling. Time to set the rear end in place. I'll need some 1/2" spacers or different wheels. Just had to set it on the floor to get an idea of finished product.

Not much new to report, fabricating parts to turn shocks into coilovers, and got a turbo manifold for the exhaust side. stock compression on my engine is 7.5:1, begging for 5 psi.
turbo KA. tasty.

Going to start heavy fab real soon, pedals, skin, but first I have to re-think my home made coilovers.
the weld on method didn't work for me.

Have you changed the mounts yet to adjust how much the oil pan and bell housing are hanging?

Hope you didn't put an eye out with the shock setback.

Actually, your stock compression Ratio for a 240SX KA24DE is 9.5:1

For a Frontier, it is 9.2:1

5 psi of boost will put you about 30-40hp above the stock 155hp for the 240SX version...
