I can't believe I forgot to post pics of the aftermath!
I cut the rest of the broken body panels off and raced it 3 weeks later at bible creek - I was a big old weenie though after crashing it a few weeks prior. I was still outrunning my codriver but not by nearly as much as I should have and I was way off pace from the year before and the rest of the pack.

hooking the tow bar up
Farther down than it looked
good side up
front end destroyed
oil out the air filter and some bent/broken control/suspension parts
rear body bent to hell
it got a new suspension tie rod & mounting point on the front outboard since it tore the mount off. we later found out the steering arm on the upright was bent (bent the cast iron hub but not the aluminum connecting rod) chipped a tooth in the steering rack (giant circle track box, wtf?)
put some new oil in the motor and replaced the filter and it was fine.
bent one of the seat belt tabs.
What have I been up to since then? not racing!
Bought a new house with a big'ol'shop. moved everything from the rented shop in to the new house and have barely even fired the race car up since the move ~20 months ago. House projects distracted me for the first 6 months and then starting a new business has kept me distracted since then. I wont be racing this year either, maybe next year if things keep going well...
