Hello! In the last year began construction of Seven. Looking for a suitable donor, and could find nothing. At the end settled on the Opel Rekord 2.0S. Engine 1999 cc, 4 cylinder, 140 hp Transmission Overdrive-Getriebe. The rear axle is also used on the Opel Rekord! The frame is constructed mainly of pipe 25 * 25 * 2 as 25 * 25 * 1.5 in Moldova does not produce. Intended nave taken from Lada 2106. Covering mainly aluminum, but also used sheet of thickness 0.8 mm. Principles for the wings to create the frame, unfortunately, not preserved because the hard drive flew with all the pictures. In this thread I will try every day vylazhivat information on the work done! Here are some pictures! Sorry for my bad English!

Welcome to our place! We will enjoy hearing about your car.

If possible, please try to make pictures a little smaller.

Your English is fine.

Like horizonjob said, welcome aboard.

As for English, you should hear me after a few spiced rums :D

Good morning, Budei-
Welcome to the Locost forum. Your English is just fine... It's the rest of this bunch that has an accent!

It looks as though you've gotten a lot done on your car. I'm not familiar with the Rekord, if they sold that one in the US, I wasn't aware of it. Cast iron 4 cylinder, live axle, all good, solid pieces. Well chosen, I'd say...

Keep us posted on your progress! And, like Horizenjob mentioned, a bit smaller on the pics would be better.

Good luck-
JD Kemp

*NOTE- I vote we just call him "Buddy"... What do y'all think?

I think it's fantastic when someone completes a project in a limited resource country, well done.

We Australians know the Opel Rekord as it was the original foundation of our Holden Commodore but with a longer nose to fit our 6 cylinder engine.

Hello! It's me again! Today, the panel began to strap a leather and made a frame of the hood and closed it with aluminum. I wanted to ride but there was a problem. at idle the engine runs perfectly, but after 6000 began to twitch. Tomorrow I'm going to watch what happened. And here is the photo report.

Welcome to the group. Your English is fine, don't worry about it. Keep the pictures coming. The car looks great!

The easiest way to make the pictures smaller is to set the size in the camera (assuming you are using a digital camera of course). The free software program "irfanview" is a very popular picture program and you can change the size of pictures with it.

http://www.irfanview.com/

140 hp should give you a nice quick car.

Very impressive (doosha dobra) build. What are you using for the nose, your own design or are you buying one? I like the leather dash, I may have to use that on my next build.
Cheers! (Diboysha!)

I was thinking to buy a bow of but for me it's a lot of money because the nose of the CIS countries is $ 250 and it is bigger than my monthly salary ... and another plus shipping, which will cost about $ 100 get 350, but in order to earn the money I need to work about 3 months. But for the same money I can make for example of tin 4 or even 5 of the same parts. By the way today, I started to do it so that the evening will be pictures!

It's always great to see fun car projects happening in the far reaches of the world. Gives some hope that the world's not all gloom and doom all the time. This picture made me laugh and made me think, "yup, that's exactly the stuff I'd use." Talk about hard to read instructions!
