Why so large on the primaries?? That's a Nascar size primary. 1.75 or even 1.625 would be more appropriate for the 300-400hp range. 2.125 or 2.0 is the size primary used on Nascar headers. 900hp 9500rpm motors. You already built these and they look great, hope they work OK.

The Cleavland 4v heads have those huge ass ports, right? And about 500 HP with a decent cam. Maybe the 2.125 primaries are not so out of whack. That car will be a real handful to put it mildly.

I can explain it to you,
but I can't understand it for you.

I ended up just matching te primary sizes to the port sizes on the head and header flanges, which was 2 1/8". Probably going to rework the engine later on for more hp.

Fuel tank mount mocked up.

Is there any way you can get the fuel tank lower??
It would make the car handle better, but if drag racing is the game where it is could help with weight transfer.

Without any work you'll likely be able to burn rubber to 100 MPH.

It does kinda ask the issue about getting the rear to hook up, doesn't it? Not to mention the front if the weight bias is what I think it might be? Don't get me wrong, I think that the thing will be as fun as hell, but yeah, gotta wonder about the thing breaking the tires loose at 80 mph?

need some 335 slicks and aero to put some weight on the tires as you gain speed otherwise it is probably a lost cause.

Oh yeah! That'd be cool! Two home-built Locost-ish cars at the same 'climb!

And actually, forum member HRK is the current terror of SE Division SCCA Hillclimbs in his turbo-Miata powered Locost 7. I believe his is a kit car chassis, but he's got it set up right-and-proper. (That's the way us refined people say it's fast as hell.)

But the more the merrier! Bring it on...
