Larry, I'm sorry, we're going to have to reject your application. You've owned a real race car AND you know what a Mallock is. You are obviously over-qualified.

Nahhh, just kiddin! Come on in, welcome to the club. Did ya bring any sausage with you??? Or seafood??? BEER???

Check with SeattleTom over there on your side of the planet, and I think he can talk you out of that "honored" feeling. He knows me better than you new guys do...

Now, get back to buildin'!!!

I strongly recommend a rotisserie of some type, it makes the welding so much easer.

AMEN

I used the rotisserie from my canoe building days to rework the frame on my MGA a few years ago. I was reminded how much I hate doing overhead MIG this past weekend putting shock mounts on the Centaur 7 :ack: Wearing a few too many blisters today.

Didn't get quite that inventive. Was fortunate to have access to 2 engine stands. Put one one each end and Viola!, instant rotisserie.

This post is changing from history to current events. I received a TTL nose with a four inch extension from Jack yesterday. That means today I get to fit the nose to my car. This could be interesting since the TTL nose is about 10 inches shorter than the one I was building. My tires may stick out farther than the nose. Who needs a bumper? Time to go play.

I now have a street legal, licensed 1964 lotus seven replica. I'm sorry I have not been keeping up with my build log like I wanted too. But every time I posted a picture I got logged out. I don't know if it was me, my computer, or my ISP. Any way I now have more time to deal with my computer since the last two days have been spent getting a VIN number and plates. I'm waiting for a call back from Geico about coverage. Here is a picture of my car.

That seemed to work just fine. Maybe what ever was happening before is not a problem anymore.

Fantastic job Larry! Congratulations on 'completing' the car!!

I believe it's common knowledge* that any builders to get their car road legal since the last gathering, has to buy the first round of beer at the next gathering.

*Completely made up.

This is how I did the bushing for the steering column, it works and it's cheep. I have way more time then money, so anything I can make with the stuff I find in my garage, I will. I have too much stuff in my garage!

I didn't know you could have too much stuff in your garage.......Too small of a garage maybe, but never to much stuff.

Unless it's someone else S@*! then that needs to go.
