Its quite a distance from you, but we got the louvers pressed by Neal Bishop of Neal’s Wheels in Muscle Shoals, AL (103 Broadway Street, Muscle Shoals, 35661 phone 256-386-7777). Neal has retired, and his son is running the business, but he still comes in one or two days a week, and does louvers on his louver press. He requested that I bring along a sample of the aluminum for him to use to set up his machine (he normally stamps steel instead of aluminum so he has to vary the pressure in order to avoid distorting the metal). He used the sample piece to adjust his machine, and was very meticulous to get a perfect result. I think the cost was $2.00 per louver.

Your build is pretty much what I'm thinking of. Looking for a Corolla.

I have an acquaintance who owns and operates a commercial timber operation and has certified scales at the woodyard. Today I drove the Lotus by and got an official final (after upholstery and carpet) weight: 1360 pounds (without the driver...I am on a diet).
Afterthoughts: We chose the sheet steel floor option, instead of aluminum. Also, we are using the original steel Toyota Corolla wheels instead of lighter ones. We will probably add another five pounds or so, as we are adding nerf bars (for protection during loading and unloading) to the front of the car.

Saturday at Mexican Restaurant 2.jpg
We plan to visit some car shows and cruise-ins this year, but last week week we were out touring and stopped by a local restaurant. Lots of inquiring questions. Still enjoying the cars.
