Honda S2000 driveline, including entire rear subframe assy. Will be loosely based on the McSorely 442 dimensions. The rear subframe as an assy is heavy, but the superior geometry, massive brakes, and excellent unsprung weight sealed the deal. The stock CV driveshaft is the perfect length, placing the seat just right to reach the stock shifter, and easy pedal box placement. I’ve been welding for 40 some years, and the frame will be tig welded with the MillerDynasty 250 Inverter machine. I have something in the ‘Build Room’ of my shop almost all the time, so the 7 is a natural progression.
Here is a pic of my hand built stainless exhaust on my Rotax powered gyrocopter.

Yo, Fix!
Welcome to the forum! I've been warned about scaring off the newbies, but iffen you're already nutso enough to fly a gyrocopter (I'm jealous, by the way!), then I doubt I can scare ya...

Keep us posted as things develop. That S2k driveline is a little beastie, should make for quite a ride. Send pictures...

Well, at least you don't have to worry about buying a welder, learning to weld, etc!

Congrats, beautiful work, etc etc

- Geek49203, aka Tim, aka liberal arts grad who bought a welder and is learning to weld on this project

Gonzo, I raced local asphalt bullrings twice a week for 5 years or so, tortured my body (still paying) in motocross, flown aerobatics, gone 106 mph in a 17 ft Hydrastream routinely, and survived several sick crotchrockets. The gyrocopter holds a close favorite. I have over 200 hrs in mine, and it still wigs me out. Continuous adrenaline rush. I have about 90 minutes flight time with a safe reserve.
