Very clever use for 3D printing. There is a saying, "necessity is the mother of invention". Sort of fits your situation.
With a fiberglass lining on the underside for strength the plastic should be easy to fill and put a nice finish on. Like some others, I'll be interested in seeing the parts finished/.
Thank you very much for supporting everyone. I will try. Summer is coming soon!!!!

I am also curious about the 3D printing, what is the maximum size pieces you can make at a time? What brand and model is your 3D printer please?
The maximum size of the print is a cube 190x190x190mm. As for the brand, is xyz printing.

If I understand you correctly, you have some concerns about making the bonnet. It's not difficult and it doesn't require a frame. I don't know what aluminum alloys you have available but I used 5052 which is called "half hard". It forms easily and doesn't require annealing. It can be formed by hand by pushing it down over something like a 100 mm piece of pipe. I bent the bottom edges into a "U". It provides all the strength needed.
Thanks a lot for Ron's advice, cool hood. I found an analogue in our country (brand AMG2.5). I'll definitely try! Just wanted to clarify and how thick is your hood?
