The shaft was shortened two feet by a driveshaft shop. Now that you bring it up they didn't balance it. They said it was so small it wouldn't matter. Forgot about that since it was probably 3 years ago. Add to the list - find a shop that can balance the shaft.

I'd let it idle in gear on stands and observe the joints/yoke ends for wobble as it goes around. Shops screw up sometimes. Of course, if you take to shop to have it balanced, that is the first thing they will check. Try a different shop.

Same to a friend with a V8 Z car. It'll also loosen every possible nut and bolt.
