Wow Phil! Looking really good!!! You are pulling ahead of me :( But i'm almost done with my kitchen and then i have a BBC Intake manifold to polish for a co-worker then i can get back onto the locost.

Any idea on a driving goal?

I'm about to take a little Locost hiatus as soon as I get the suspension and steering nailed down. It won't be ready for next season, so I really need to get the BMW ready to take up the slack. So, I'll be putting a stroker and Mega-Squirt in that before summer. Hopefully I'll have all that done within a month or so.

I hope to get the car running and moving under it's own power before snow flies next year, so that it can be my main track/auto-x car in '09. But I'm not going to set any hard and fast dates - I will NOT stop working on it ever, just so it doesn't stall, but I want to do it right and not cut corners. If that takes until 2010 - eh, I'm young. What better way to spend my evenings and weekends? If I wanted a car now I'd be working a second job to buy a completed Locost. They're much cheaper in terms of time*money.

The Miata shell is now in several smallish pieces at the junkyard.

Hooray for garage space!
